Speaking to reporters after inspecting the sealing of strongrooms in the Government Engineering College here on Friday where the Electronic Voting Machines used in the 5 Assembly segments have been kept, District Collector R. Sukumar said a total of 9,85,227 voters including 4,69,054 male, 5,16,073 female and 100 other voters had cast their votes, which accounted for 78% voter turnout.
