Sudhakar has said that to address the issue of rising pension liabilities on State universities, the State government has increased its funding support towards pension to 70% from 50%. Speaking at the 75th annual convocation of Karnatak University in Dharwad on Thursday, Dr. Sudhakar said that to decrease the burden on the university a revised arrangement has been made under which the State government will bear 70% of the pension expenditure and the universities will have to mobilise the remaining 30% through internal resources.
