Commuters protest over lack of buses at Solar bus stand in Erode

Demanding immediate operation of adequate bus services to reach their destinations and cast their votes, commuters staged a protest at the new bus stand at Solar in Erode on Thursday (April 23, 2026).

Commuters bound for southern districts, including Madurai, said they had travelled from Chennai and other places and reached Erode in the morning. They said they were proceeding to their native places to exercise their franchise when the non-availability of buses at the bus stand led to tension.
