VIJAY KUMAR The ambitious Blue City concept of Amaravati is steadily taking shape with the development of a network of greenfield reservoirs and canals aimed at mitigating flood risks, while enhancing urban livability and tourism potential. The integrated system includes the Neerukonda, Sakhamuru and Penumaka (Krishnayapalem) reservoirs, along with major canal works such as Kondaveeti Vagu, Pala Vagu and the Gravity Canal.
