They all owned saris woven by Vijayalakshmi Silks. For every old Bangalorean, Vijayalakshmi Silks has been a landmark on MG Road, one of the very few names holding its own on a stretch where the store fronts and facades keep changing every decade or so. The family-run sari showroom turns 105 this year, and is observing their anniversary with a one-of-a-kind exhibition.
