Seeman calls ‘cash-for-votes’ culture a curse on the nation, hits out at freebies

Naam Tamilar Katchi leader Seeman, who has fielded candidates in all the 234 Assembly seats in Tamil Nadu, on Tuesday declared that the “cash-for- votes” culture was a curse on the nation.

On the final day of electioneering, Mr. Seeman held a roadshow in the Karaikudi constituency, from where he is contesting. “The situation where only the wealthy, who make up just 5% of the population, can form a government must change. If only the rich and the capitalists can come to power, that is not democracy,” he said.
