MOORTHY Candidates of various political parties criss-crossed their constituencies in a hectic last-minute attempt to enlist the support of voters as the curtains came down on an intense campaign for the Assembly elections in the central region on Tuesday. With no big leaders campaigning in the region on the last day, candidates tried to reach out to as many voters as possible by going door-to-door or street-to-street in their constituencies. Processions on two-wheelers marked the culmination of the electioneering at many places.
