GPS-enabled vehicles to transport poll materials to polling stations across Coimbatore

Vehicles designated for transporting poll materials were fitted with GPS devices and inspected at the Police Recruit Grounds here on Tuesday as part of election arrangements.

The vehicles will be deployed on April 22, 2026, (Wednesday) to move Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) from strong rooms and distribute other materials to 3,540 polling stations across the district. Officials said real-time tracking will be used to monitor movement and ensure timely delivery.
