Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar administered the oath of office to him during a ceremony at the Lok Bhavan in Ranchi. Chief Minister Hemant Soren was also present on the occasion along with other dignitaries. Mr. Gupta was appointed the Lokayukta of Jharkhand by the Governor on April 16.
