But to insiders, the man was instrumental in building the company’s most valuable products. From the iPod to iPhone Air, and even the recent MAC Neo, Mr. Ternus’s signature is on almost all devices designed at Cupertino. The man himself is a product of Apple as he has spent the past quarter century at the Silicon Valley giant, supporting CEO Tim Cook to grow Apple from a $350-billion company to a $4-trillion behemoth.
