The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) on Monday admitted to delays and interruptions in drinking water supply in parts of the city. This, it said, was because of the unseasonal rain, gusty winds and hailstorms, which led to incidents such as trees falling and power lines snapping. The impact was clear in the regions housing the Singur and Manjeera pump houses, which supply drinking water to Hyderabad city.
