Dhinakaran on Monday said there was no protection for anybody in the State. He was addressing an election campaign in Jeeva Nagar in Madurai canvassing votes for AIADMK’s candidate for Madurai west Assembly constituency Sellur K. Raju and the NDA candidate for Madurai central Assembly constituency well known actor, director and producer Sundar C. of the Pudiya Neethi Katchi. Mr. Dhinakaran said no one was living peacefully in Tamil Nadu. There was no protection for women, even girl children and elderly women in the State. The police, which should ensure law and order and protect the people, had fallen into the clutches of the DMK, he charged, adding that the DMK and their functionaries were committing atrocities.
