Alleging that his son was forced to end his life due to sustained harassment, L.Y. Rajan, father of dental student R.L. Nithin Raj who was found dead on the college campus, called for immediate arrest of the accused teachers and strict legal action against them to ensure justice.

Speaking to the media after meeting Kannur District Police Chief P. Nidhinraj on Monday, Mr. Rajan said that even if the 21-year-old had been pressured by loan app operators, the treatment meted out to the student on the campus could not be justified.
