The Federation of Anna Nagar Residents’ Associations (FOARA) on Sunday hosted online interaction with residents and some of the candidates contesting from the Villivakkam constituency. The candidates presented their five-year vision for the constituency. Karthik Mohan of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) said that, if elected, he would focus on improving sports infrastructure for the youth. “I promise all parents and children that I will take a strong stance against drug abuse. There should be a diversion. So I will encourage them to participate in sports including our native games. Traffic congestion and healthcare will also be my priorities. We have already addressed many rain-related issues over the past five years,” he said, adding his plans for uninterrupted electricity.
