Sriram A collection of folk stories about agriculture and environment titled ‘Bhoomige Ragi Bandiddu’ was released by Director of Rangayana Satish Tipatur at a function held at the auditorium of Institution of Engineers in Mysuru on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Tipatur expressed concern over folk stories, ragi and such traditions becoming relics of the past. “We are living in a peculiar phase of time. When we think about how to engage today’s children, more than 25% of urban-centric children and parents believe that ragi, rice, clothes, and everything else simply come from shops. They are unaware of their connection to the soil,” he said.
