The Vijayapura Police have refused to allow a protest by All Karnataka State Students Association (AKSSA) demanding jobs for educated unemployed youth in the city proposed on Tuesday, saying that it can disrupt traffic and disturb law and order situation. In a detailed reply to Srikant Kumar and other applicants, Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi has said that the indefinite strike to demand filling vacancies in government departments can jeopardise life in Vijayapura.
