The Telangana Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency and Civil Defence Department conducted a fire safety awareness and interaction programme for Residential Welfare Associations (RWA) as part of National Fire Service Week 2026. Director General Vikram Singh Mann addressed the gathering and spoke on common causes of fire accidents and the need for functional internal firefighting systems, particularly in high-rise buildings. He also highlighted the importance of regular mock drills, volunteer training, periodic fire audits and timely renewal of fire no-objection certificates.
