Scientific temper essential to protect environment, says former Supreme Court judge

It is important to develop a scientific temper among the people in order to protect the environment because in the name of religion, we often end up destroying our environment, said, Abhay S. Oka, a retired judge of the Supreme Court, in Chennai on Satuday.

He was responding to a question posed by N. Ram, Director, THG Publishing Private Limited, who moderated the former judge’s lecture on ‘Environment- Rights or duties under the Constitution of India’ hosted by Chennai-based Rakesh Law Foundation.
