Madhavikutty on Friday in connection with a cash-for-votes case registered against her. The Congress had lodged a complaint against Ms. Surendran, submitting a video as evidence, alleging that ₹5,000 was distributed to an elderly woman at Kannadi panchayat on the eve of the Assembly election.
