CPI(M) former general secretary Prakash Karat on Thursday underlined the political significance of the Tamil Nadu election in the context of the national situation, stating that BJP and RSS are working towards dismantling India’s secular republic.

Addressing an election campaign public meeting in Thoothukudi, in support of Secular Progressive Alliance’s DMK candidate P. Geetha Jeevan, said that over the past 12 years, the country has witnessed the BJP-RSS government at the Centre, during which, he alleged a Hindutva agenda has been consistently pursued.
