As excess number of nursing colleges in the State is leading to vacancy of seats, Minister for Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Satya Kumar Yadav on Thursday announced that henceforth, the department would only consider the proposals submitted in response to the notifications issued by the government with regard to establishment of nursing colleges. Until now, many colleges were granted sanction based on proposals submitted voluntarily by various organisations. “The government has now made it clear that it will not accept suo motu proposals,” Mr. Satya Kumar said during a review meeting at the Secretariat.
