Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre. The Karnataka State Wildlife Board has declared 2,877 acres of forest land in Allur (B) village of Chittapur taluk in Kalaburagi district as a protected reserve. The decision was taken at a meeting convened by Environment Minister Eshwar Khandre on Thursday. The forest was declared a protected reserve as it is surrounded by hills and lush greenery and serves as a habitat for wildlife such as leopards, wild boars, deer, wild sheep, wild cats, porcupines, and foxes.
