Doctors at Apollo Hospitals Hyderabad have performed a Whole Lung Lavage (WLL) procedure on a 38-year-old patient diagnosed with Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis (PAP), a potentially debilitating and uncommon lung disorder.

Whole lung lavage (WLL), also described as lung washing, is used to physically clean out the lungs when they become clogged with abnormal materials that make it difficult to breathe.
