Palaniswami, speaking at a roadshow in Coimbatore city on Thursday (April 16, 2026). Seeking votes for AIADMK’s Amman K. Arujunan (Coimbatore South) and KP Jayaram (Singanallur) and BJP’s Vanathi Srinivasan (Coimbatore North) during the election rally, he said Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had called upon the people of the State to tie black flags at their houses on Thursday protesting against the Delimitation Bill. “No one has tied black flag in their houses in Coimbatore. The people are aware here,” he said.
