As polling day draws near, political parties brave the heat and step up their campaign across Chennai

As April 23 draws near, the campaigning by various political parties across the city intensified on Wednesday.

DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, who campaigned for her party’s nominee for Harbour constituency and Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister P.K. Sekarbabu at Thambu Chetty Street, Mannady, said, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin promised ₹1,000 under Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam and implemented it. “He also fulfilled the assurance of providing free bus travel for women and it has benefitted lakhs of people,” she said.
