The Kakinada police have arrested Hyderabad-based stand-up comedian, Katikala Anudeep, in Prayagraj of Uttar Pradesh, for his alleged derogatory remarks on the personal life of Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan during a performance. Mr. Anudeep was reportedly picked up by the police on April 14. “Katikala Anudeep has been arrested and will be produced before the media on Thursday in Kakinada,” District Superintendent of Police G. Bindu Madhav told The Hindu on Wednesday.
