Describing it as “illegal and arbitrary”, a human rights group under the banner ‘My Vote, My Right’ held a statewide protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with protestors alleging that large-scale deletions of voter names have undermined democratic participation and political equality.
