The hunger strike of Bharata Chaitanya Yuvajana Party (BCYP) chief Bode Ramachandra Yadav entered its third day on Monday (April 13, 2026), as protesters attempted to block the Guntur-Vijayawada national highway, prompting police to shift around 30 followers to the Mangalagiri police station in Guntur district.

BCY activists gathered at the protest site in support of Ramachandra Yadav, who has been on an indefinite fast demanding justice for Backward Classes. The blockade led to traffic disruptions, with vehicles stranded for several kilometres.
