It is essential to promote products made by indigenous artisans to support and realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of achieving Viksit Bharat-2047 and also achieve Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s goal of Swarnandhra, says Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath.

Inaugurating an exhibition organised by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) and the Central government as part of the Khadi Mahotsav 2025–2026, at Maris Stella College’s indoor stadium in Vijayawada on Saturday, Mr. Sivanath appealed to the people of Vijayawada to visit the exhibition and encourage the stalls and artisans.

“It is our responsibility to pass on khadi products as a heritage to future generations,” Mr. Sivanath said, adding that such encouragement would ensure the availability of quality products at affordable prices while improving livelihood opportunities for artisans.

The exhibition provides marketing facilities for products manufactured under KVIC and the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).

KVIC State Director S. Greep said the exhibition would be open to the public for 10 days. He said more than 100 stalls had been set up by artisans from various States.
