Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has asked the Medical & Health Department (M&HD) to expand the Sanjeevani Project, which is designed to monitor the public health data in the State. 

Addressing a review meeting on Wednesday, Mr. Naidu said the project had been launched as a pilot in Chittoor district and it should be expanded throughout the State to achieve better public health outcomes.

He suggested that advanced technologies should be leveraged to provide quality medical services. 

The Sanjeevani project must cater to everyone, from infants to the elderly, he said and wanted a Nutrition app to be developed.  

​The Chief Minister told the officials to accurately assess community health parameters by conducting sample surveys from time to time.

Data must be compiled on conditions such as anaemia, cardiac issues, diabetes and kidney and liver diseases, Mr, Naidu said, while proposing constituency-level task forces for spreading health awareness.

Further,  Mr. Naidu said every constituency should have a superspecialty hospital. Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav and Health Department officials participatd in the meeting.
