A 30-year-old woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances in the swimming pool of her family’s farmhouse in Kodihalli near Kanakapura in the Bengaluru South district. The deceased has been identified as Pratibha. Her family has expressed suspicion over the role of her husband in her death. The Kodihalli police have registered a case of unnatural death. The police sources said that Pratibha’s husband, Nanje Gowda, had separated from his first wife a few years ago and subsequently married Pratibha. According to the police, the body was found in the early morning, but they suspected that the death may have occurred during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. A senior police officer told The Hindu that the Scene of Crime officers are yet to submit their report and that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination. “There were no visible injury marks on the body, but since the family has raised suspicion, we will investigate the case. However, we are awaiting the post-mortem report before initiating any action,” the officer said.
