Governor S. Abdul Nazeer has congratulated eminent Indian-American radiation oncologist Dr. Nori Dattatreyudu on his selection for the Padma Bhushan award for the year 2026. Dr. Dattatreyudu is a native of Mantada village in Krishna district. Mr. Abdul Nazeer also congratulated Gadde Babu Rajendra Prasad, Maganti Murali Mohan and Vempaty Kutumba Sastry on their selection for the Padma Shri award, and the family members of Garimella Balakrishna Prasad, who has been selected for the Padma Shri posthumously for the year 2026. The awards are a recognition of their contributions to their respective fields, the Governor said in a release issued here on Sunday, and wished the awardees many more such laurels in the future.
