Death toll in Monday’s road accident at Vachchakarapatti involving a cargo vehicle has increased to four with two more victims succumbing to injuries. The police said that the driver of the cargo vehicle, Venkatesh (19) died on Monday. N. Kavitha (40), who was referred to Government Rajaji hospital in Madurai died on Tuesday afternoon. Already Nagakani and her daughter Kalayarasi were killed on the spot after the speeding vehicle rammed against the parapet wall of the road over bridge at R.R. Nagar. Kavitha is the second daughter of Nagakani, the police said.
