Winners of The Hindu Deepa Kolam Contest 2025, in Madurai. | Photo Credit: R. ASHOK The fourth edition of The Hindu Deepa Kolam Contest 2025 drew good response from the people. The contest was open to all those who decorated their houses with fulgent lamps on the eve of Karthigai Deepam. The participants registered for the event enthusiastically. The winners were selected based on the elegance and extravagance of their Deepa Kolam and the way they exhibited it. Jansi Rani was adjudged the winner of the contest, while Ranjani. V was awarded the second place and Rajalakshmi Asokan was awarded the third place. E. Usha, J. Bhavani, Kanagambal Natarajan, Raghul. P, Praghya V.N., G. Angayarkanni and Niranjana Karthigairajan were awarded consolation prizes for the event. The prize distribution ceremony of the fourth edition of the contest was held recently at The Hindu office in Madurai. The contest was presented by ITC Mangaldeep and co-powered by Gopuram Turmeric Powder and Kumkum. Gifts for the winners were sponsored by Medimix, Naga, PS Tamarind.
