Narayana on Monday (January 12) launched the land pooling process at Karlapudi–Lemalle village in Amaravathi mandal, in Palnadu district marking another step in the resumption of Amaravati capital city development. Accompanied by local MLA Bhashyam Praveen, the Minister received consent letters and Form-1 documents from farmers, following the issuance of a land pooling notification covering 2,654 acres by the competent authority. Officials said Karlapudi–Lemalle, treated as a single revenue village, became the fourth village where Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) 2.0 has begun, after Pedamadduru, Endrayi and Vaddamanu. Within hours of the launch, 65 farmers submitted consent for 354 acres, reflecting strong initial participation. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Narayana said Amaravati works had begun earlier but were stalled later, causing hardship to farmers. He said development projects worth ₹55,000 crore were now progressing rapidly and assured that land values would rise with increased economic activity. He stated that land pooling, instead of acquisition, was chosen to protect farmers from losses linked to projects such as the International Sports City, Inner Ring Road and railway track. The Minister promised to complete the Amaravati capital city project as assured. He also sanctioned developing a road, on the request of the Karlapudi villagers.
