Roadside shops along NSB Road being removed by Corporation workers, in Tiruchi on Saturday. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Tiruchi Corporation on Saturday relocated roadside vendors operating along NSB Road to Yaanaikulam Ground, to decongest one of Tiruchi’s busiest commercial stretches and improve pedestrian safety. With support from the city police, the Corporation officials carried out an eviction drive, removing around 80 roadside shops functioning on both sides of NSB Road near Main Guard Gate. This follows a similar drive conducted in January, during which about 120 shops were cleared from the stretch.
