The 10th edition of Ni Fest, a national art camp and rural art festival, which is being held in Enkakkad village near Wadakkancherry and organised by the Niracharth Kalasamskarika Samiti, integrating art, literature, theatre and music concluded on Sunday.

Curated by painter Sujith S.N., the camp featured 20 artists including T. Venkanna, Chandra Bhattacharya, Gayathri Gamuz and K. Muraleedharan. The programmes, which began on January 7, were held at three venues.

The exhibition of camp works will be held at Nidarshana on January 17 and 18 and at Thrissur Fine Arts College Gallery on January 23, 24 and 25.

This national camp, which has been running continuously for the past 9 years, has grown to become one of the largest alternative national art camps in the country, completely led by the villagers of Enkakkad. Through Nidarshana Art Residency, which started in 2018, artists from different parts of India are given the opportunity to stay in Enkakkad village for a month and engage in painting.

Various programmes held in connection with the art camp included plays of Little Earth School of Theatre, a painting exhibition of the sisters Asna M.A. and Asni M.A. and Kalabhavan Navas memorial exhibition, Baul music performance by Shanthipriya and Garudanthookkam by Vaikom Sreemuruga Kalasamithi were the other programmes.
