The Cyber Crime Police of Hyderabad arrested a YouTuber for allegedly creating and circulating child sexual abuse content through social media platforms.

The accused, Kambeti Satya Murthy, 39, a resident of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, was running a YouTube channel, where objectionable videos involving minors were uploaded. Police said the videos featured interviews with children aged between 15 and 17, during which the accused allegedly asked obscene and sexually explicit questions. In one of the videos, he allegedly induced two minors to kiss each other, amounting to sexual exploitation.

A suo motu case was registered by the Cyber Crime Police on October 16, 2025, after the videos were noticed circulating online. During the investigation, technical analysis confirmed that the content violated provisions of child protection laws and cyber laws. Based on digital evidence, the accused was identified, traced and arrested.

Police said the accused had been operating as a YouTuber since 2018 and also managed an associated Instagram account. He initially posted interviews with influencers using vulgar language. “However, to attract viewers and generate money. the accused escalated his activities by targeting minors, conducting interviews with a minor girl and a minor boy using highly obscene and sexually explicit language, and uploading such content on social media platforms, thereby committing serious criminal offences,” said an officer from the cyber crimes wing. The Hindu is refraining from naming the YouTube channel as it is still available online.
