The “X³ Tech Fest 2026,” a three-day celebration of technology, collaboration, and ambition organised by the AWS Cloud Club of the University, was inaugurated at the APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium on the SRM University–A.P., Amaravati, campus on Friday (April 3, 2026). Over 200 students from across Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and a few other places, formed 40 teams and participated in activities designed as a continuous hackathon blended with workshops, developer talks, robotics sessions, live prototype demonstrations and a tech expo. Winners will carry home prizes worth ₹3 lakh, a statement said. Cloud Club Captain Arpan Pramanik said that the fest aimed to foster creativity, meaningful connections and real-world problem-solving among participants. Avantika Singh, a student volunteer, along with a dedicated team of student organisers, and Naman Pasricha, an MBA student, supported him. Faculty Advisor to the AWS Cloud Club and Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ajay Kumar Sahu, who provided guidance to the students., said that these platforms empower students to learn, create, and grow beyond classrooms. CEO of Vyobotics Chand Gudi encouraged the participants by giving them insights into key aspects of entrepreneurship, robotics, and tips on accessing global funding opportunities. University Vice-Chancellor Ch. Satish Kumar lauded the evolution of hackathons into holistic learning ecosystems that combine competition with knowledge exchange and industry exposure. He encouraged students to think beyond conventional boundaries and embrace emerging technologies, while also highlighting the university’s ongoing technological transformations. Director-Communications Pankaj Belwariar urged the students to explore not just the campus but their own potential, aligning with the ethos of “explore, exhibit, and evolve.” Dean, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences C. V. Tomy, was also present on the occasion.
