This year’s events also coincided with the 20th anniversary of Earth Hour, for which lights were switched off from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. at iconic monuments, heritage sites and government buildings across India as a collective statement for climate action and sustainability. WWF India’s Western Ghats – Nilgiri Landscape office, in collaboration with For Earth Foundation, Shree Sakthi Engineering College and United Institute of Technology, organised a series of environmental activities in Coimbatore district.
