Annamalai, said on April 13, 2026, (Monday) that the Women’s Reservation Bill brought by the Union government will empower ordinary women. Campaigning in Namakkal district for the BJP Rasipuram candidate S.D. Prem Kumar, Mr. Annamalai said the Bill is to be tabled in Parliament on April 16. If it is passed, the total MP seats in the country will cross 800, and in Tamil Nadu, 234 Assembly seats will increase to around 340. This will empower all women, he said.
