Women must lead development, says Prisons DG Soumya Mishra at Hyderabad summit

Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services Soumya Mishra said that the focus must shift from women’s development to women-led development, at the ‘EMERGE’ Women’s Leadership Summit, organised by the Hyderabad Management Association on Saturday.

She said that women were increasingly taking on roles as decision-makers and leaders across sectors such as governance, technology and entrepreneurship. Referring to advancements in Artificial Intelligence, she underlined the need for greater representation of women to ensure inclusive and responsible innovation.
