The incident came to light on April 8 when the neighbours suspected a death in the family after sensing a pungent smell. Cyril Monis, 78, lived with his 62-year-old wife Cysil at Banakal. Their son Melwin works in a glass factory in Bengaluru while their daughter is employed as a teacher in Dubai, UAE.
