A 36-year-old woman, who was earlier arrested in connection with the murder of her husband, was sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 10 years by the LB Nagar court on Tuesday. The court also slapped a fine of ₹3,000 on the accused, identified as Kotha Laxmi. The case was reported in Padmashalipuram, Kattedan, on April 6, 2017. The deceased, P. Ravi, a 26-year-old labourer who had no immediate family, married Laxmi two years prior to the incident. The couple had no children.
