A 56-year-old woman was killed after a speeding car went out of control and hit her and her husband as they stood in front of their house at Kandamkunnu near Koothuparamba on Friday morning (February 27). The deceased was identified as Premi. Her husband Achyuthan sustained injuries in the accident. Though locals rushed the couple to hospital, Premi could not be saved. The Koothuparamba police took the car involved in the accident into custody. Further investigation is on.
