In view of the Rama Navami festival, the Malkajgiri police ordered temporary closure of all liquor outlets within the jurisdiction on March 27. According to an official notification issued by the Commissioner of Police Avinash Mohanty, all toddy shops, wine shops, bars attached to restaurants, military canteens, including those in star hotels and registered clubs, will remain closed from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the day of the festival. The order has been issued under Section 20 of the Telangana State Excise Act, 1968.
