The United States will still hold nuclear talks with Iran on Friday (February 6, 2026) in Oman, a White House official told AFP, after a report that the negotiations were collapsing due to disagreements over the location and format.

The U.S. confirmation on Wednesday (February 4, 2026) came after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also said the meeting was due to be held in Muscat. Officials had said earlier this week that it would likely happen in Turkiye.
