The initiative was organised by Dhiraj Jain, a businessman based in the UAE, who offered his property to those left stranded. Among those who sought refuge at the facility is Mamta Jain, a resident of Mumbai. She arrived in Dubai on February 25 and was scheduled to return on March 1. Following the cancellation of her flight, she faced difficulty finding affordable accommodation. “We did not know what to do. Hotels were either full or too expensive,” she said. After being informed about the arrangement in Ajman, she decided to move to the farm. Her flight has now been rescheduled for March 9. The property has been equipped to accommodate the influx of guests. Mr. Jain said that both indoor halls and temporary tents on the grounds are being utilised. Arrangements have been made for mattresses, blankets, and meals, all provided without charge. Transport was also arranged for some of the stranded individuals, while others made their own way to the location. Ms. Jain noted that separate quarters have been designated for women. A help desk has been established on the premises, and a basic health check-up facility is also available. “We were stressed. Now, we are not,” she added. Mr. Jain stated that the effort was a response to an immediate need. He said the authorities are managing the situation, and his role was limited to providing available space to those requiring it. “People needed a place to stay. We had space. It was that simple,” he said.
