Water stagnation at Vendipalayam rail underpass worries road users and residents

Frequent stagnation of seepage water mixed with sewage at the rail underpass in Vendipalayam has become a major concern for motorists and residents, who have urged the authorities to take permanent steps to resolve the long-pending issue.

The underpass on Old Karur Bypass Road that connects Solar with Kalaimadu Silai is used frequently by residents of Manickavasagar Colony, Vendipalayam, Konavaikal, Molagoundampalayam and Lakshmi Nagar. Vehicles from Namakkal district, including school and college buses, also pass through the underpass on the way to Solar and surrounding areas.
