Water level in Papanasam dam stood at 84.90 feet (the maximum level is 143 feet) with an inflow of 141.54 cusecs and a discharge of 800 cusecs. Water level in Manimuthar dam stood at 93.05 feet (the maximum level is 118 feet) with an inflow of 111.39 cusecs and a discharge of 495 cusecs. The rainfall recorded in Tirunelveli district ending at 6 a.m on Sunday was as follows (in mm): Nanguneri 5, Palayamkottai 5, Radhapuram 4, Tirunelveli 20, Manjolai 4, Kakkachi 12, Nalumukku 16 and Oothu recorded 6 mm rainfall.
